How do stuff at Anime + Manga Club! 🤗

How are all of you doing?

Now . . . I dunno about you.  But, I am excited about this ‘site.  

We’ll have some nice “how to’s” here at this ‘site as some things—especially posting a discussion—are a lit-tle different than from how you did that at The Disqus central ‘site, yes?

Now, as you might have already found out, you can comment here as you did over at Disqus Central!

So please note the following:

• Of course, you can USE your existing Disqus account to comment here at Anime+ MangaClub.  We only have two discussions there right now, three including this one.  Try commenting if you already haven’t done so.  Go ahead. Post a comment below.  Your Disqus Account is all you need to COMMENT on discussions and upvote comments here.

• In terms of STARTING A DISCUSSION, you will have to do/have two things:

1) Since Blogger is basically owned by Google, you will need a gmail address; this doesn't seem to be a problem, no?  You can get one for free here, if you already don't have one: [ https://accounts.google.com/signup/v2/webcreateaccount?continue=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com%2F&hl=en&gmb=exp&biz=false&flowName=GlifWebSignIn&flowEntry=SignUp ];

2) You will need to give and/or email me your email or gmail address as I would have to add you as an Author (is what a discussion-starter is called at Blogger) to the 'site.  Just find me or one of the Moderators here or at the new 'site and you can either give me your email or gmail address.  You can also email it to me at mister.write.disqus@gmail.com

I will walk through how to complete a discussion in the next “how-to” and be happy to answer your individual questions.

• How we Moderators usually send INVITATIONS to discussion is not REALLY available, apparently (I'm still researching this).  To remedy this, I am compiling lists of current users, especially, and I will tag you for each discussion generated.  Again, just trying to keep everyone together, so, let me know if you want to be taken off that list.  You can also FOLLOW this ‘site:

1) Go to any of the discussions and find the Community tab at the very top, like so:

 2) You will see “Follow” encased in blue rectangle.  If you want follow Anime + Manga Club, click on that blue rectangle:

3) It will turn into a GREEN rectangle with “Follow” within.  Congratulations!  You are NOW following Anime + Manga Club:

Gather here . . .

Wanna tell you ‘bout a word that you might not necessarily see in Anime nor Manga , but it is an important word nonetheless.   And that word is: transition . Some of you know it already.  All it means is, “smooth, easy movement from one place to another.” And that’s basically what we need to do—nay, want to do—after September 1, 2019, when the Disqus Central that we know well (some of us for years) ends, essentially. This Blogger that I have started, Anime + Manga , can act as that transition.  Heck, maybe it’ll be more of a catalyst, indeed, a temporary spot until we can get our bearings together (a month REALLY is not enough, now, is it). O.K.   So.  It has happened—the main Disqus ‘site where we used to gather is no more.  Upon logging in now, you will see something like this: Let’s take some time to simply express ourselves.  I know feelings are raw right now. Go ahead.  Let’s hear what you have to say.  And remember—we can continue our association through this ‘site and DG’s ‘sites.

How to Begin a Discussion here at ANIME + MANGA (part II-ish).

Aloha, all, I am regularly impressed by one Monkey D. Abhi .  And it's not because he calls me senpai , 😁 (well.  Not only because he refers to me as senpai , heheh.  But, I digress).   He had a most pinpointing, exacting, to-the-point question (let's hope that if he ever decides to become a missile launcher, that he is on the side of good, heheh.  OK . . . back to the topic) regarding authorship here at Anime + Manga Club .  Let's take a look: And that says a lot of what Authorship entails here at  Anime  +  Manga  Club .  Most of you (if not all of you) are coming over from Disqus Central , which will be ending on 09/01/2019 , if you already haven't heard.   That's why a whole lot of us are creating 'sites throughout the Internets in order to CONTINUE our conversations and, well, brotherhood/sisterhood/ourhood/theirhood that we began at said Disqus Central .
